Maynilad junks pipe-laying project on main Cavite road

BACOOR, Cavite — Due to public uproar, Maynilad Water Services Inc. heeded an appeal of Senator Bong Revilla, chairman of the Senate committees on public works and public services, to cancel its 5.5-kilometer pipe-laying project on Aguinaldo Highway in this town and nearby Imus.

Manila Water bags Boracay concession

MANILA Water Co. Inc. said it bagged a contract to provide water and sewerage services to Boracay Island.In a disclosure to the Philippine Stock Exchange, the Ayala-led utility said it signed a joint venture agreement with state-run Philippine Tourism Authority (PTA) for the design, financing, construction and operation of the world-renowned tourist destination’s water supply and sewerage system.
